Celebrations in Lille as Herve Renard’s charges have finally got their first win of the season with a tight 1-0 win over Ajaccio on Saturday night. The solitary goal came from Sofiane Boufel in the first half, not only was it Lille’s first win over the season it was also their first goal so double cause for celebration then.
Herve went a bit more casual this week as he adopted a polo shirt and not the usual full buttoned up number, maybe it was this change in clothing which bought along a reverse in fortune. One thing I do know for sure is that Herve will be loving this extended bank holiday (is there one in France) and will no doubt be hitting up the local bars in the hunt for a mademoiselle or two. Why bloody not Herve you’ve earned it!
An international break now, which means Herve could go out on a 2 week bender and not actually have to worry about training, frankly it wouldn’t surprise me if he did. Allez Herve!
