2019/20 Premier League Predictions – Week 8

It’s once again time for another raft of Premier League predictions and my word talk about a revival of fortunes, one that nearly cost me somewhere in the region of £1000. Now if you are aware of my early season form, it is fair to say that is has not been great.

However, that all changed last week when I got an incredible nine out of ten, not only that but I got the first nine picks correct and this meant that if Arsenal beat Manchester United, I would have recorded my first ever clean sweep in the history of this website.

Which I guess would have been great to a certain degree but at the same time, it would have been pretty galling and even more so when you consider that the odds of getting a 10-fold such as that would have been somewhere in the region of 900/1000 to 1.

Therefore I’ve never been more delighted to see Arsenal fail to win and I could at least breathe a little easier come Monday night. More importantly though what has it done for my strike rate? After the first 70 games of the season, I’ve predicted 33 correct and that means we are currently at 47.1%

Even more importantly, here are my picks for this weekend:

Saturday

Brighton vs Tottenham – Tottenham Win

Burnley vs Everton – Everton Win

Liverpool vs Leicester – Draw

Norwich vs Aston Villa – Norwich Win

Watford vs Sheffield United – Watford Win

West Ham vs Crystal Palace – West Ham Win

Sunday

Southampton vs Chelsea – Chelsea Win

Manchester City vs Wolves – Manchester City Win

Arsenal vs Bournemouth – Draw

Newcastle vs Manchester United – Manchester United Win

That’s what I think will happen this weekend, more importantly what do you think will be the outcomes. If you are brave enough to leave your opinions, then feel free to let me know in the comments below. Hopefully I can build on the solid benchmark of last week, time will tell if that proves to be the case.
