Real Madrid vs Leganes in less than 3 minutes

Real Madrid stay top of La Liga after easing to a 3-0 win at home to Leganes yesterday morning. The 11am kickoff may have been a bit too early for some to bother to make the effort and watch especially with the North London Derby starting just an hour later but Real were wide awake for this one as Leganes were brushed aside.

After being held to somewhat of a surprise draw in the Champions League on Wednesday by Legia Warsaw there were no such slips up here. Gareth Bale who celebrated his new contract last week with that stunning volley in Poland continued the celebrations yesterday as his brace put Los Blancos well on the way to victory.

With Real 2-0 up going into the break the game was all but a foregone conclusion by the time Alvaro Morata made it three with a quarter of an hour to go. With the international break now upon us Real find themselves two points clear of arch rivals Barcelona with the Madrid derby looming in just under a fortnights time.

Here is all you need to know from yesterday
