Real Football Men – Fantasy Football Roundup Gameweek 37

There’s just one game to go now and David McDonagh has almost got both hands on the first ever Real Football Men FPL Trophy (there isn’t actually a trophy though)

He goes into the final day with an almost unassailable 70 point lead over 2nd place Nana Kofi Abiri. It’s going to take either a monster week from Nana or David making 20 transfers before Sunday for him to lose the title race now.  Even Nana’s Top Score this week could do little in terms of the title race.

The race for 3rd place hots up with Dennis Kioko eating into my advantage and cutting the gap down to 26 points. Can Dennis grab 3rd on the final day or will I manage to hold on? My Bench Boost didn’t quite return the points I expected and now a nervy final day battle between myself and Dennis awaits

I think we should both be safe enough to secure Champions League Football next season with Howard Yeung Howard Tian still 22 points behind Dennis. Can Howard’s late charge continue on the final day of the season.

There isn’t a lot to report in terms of movement up the table with only Atour Toma, Aran Salih and long time leader David Lucas with green arrows next to them this week. While Kwame Twumasi and Andy Harrison have the dreaded red arrows next to them. Kwame will be disappointed after turning in this weeks lowest score

At the bottom again there’s no change in the drop zone with The Everyday Pundit now 71 points behind Will Harwood. The Pundit has seen somewhat of a resurgence as of late but I think that’s more down to luck than judgement. Don’t forget this is a man who seemingly hasn’t done his team since the opening day of the season. Talk about a relaxed approach to management – I hope his punditry career isn’t that bad!

Highest Score – Nana Kofi Abiri 92

Lowest Score – Kwame Twumasi – 42
