Malaga vs Real Madrid in less than 3 minutes

There are celebratory scenes in the Spanish capital today as Zinedine Zidane has masterminded a first La Liga title for Real Madrid since 2012. Needing just a point from their trip to Malaga on the final day but Los Blancos went one better as they ran out comfortable 2-0 winners to end Barcelona’s run of dominance.

They would get off to the ideal start when who else but Cristiano Ronaldo put Real ahead after just two minutes, the nerves would be settled when he latched onto Isco’s through ball to step around Carlos Kameni and tap into an empty net. If the nerves were settled then the title was won before the hour mark thanks to a goal from Karim Benzema,

With the French forward doubling his sides advantage then  it meant that Malaga were going to have to score three goals unanswered to derail the title tilt of Zinedine Zidane’s men and with the title all but in the bag the game fizzled out as the destination of the La Liga crown had been decided,

For Real Madrid it has to be said that is a deserved win as their consistency has been the key throughout, they man have lost El Clasico at the Bernabeu a few weeks ago but they have ground out results when required and have not been prone to costly mistakes as was the case for Luis Enrique’s Barcelona.

With the La Liga title in the bag, Real will now look to end the season with double success as they travel to Cardiff to face Juventus in the Champions League at the start of next month. It will be a well earned week off this weekend but they cannot celebrate too much as they will of course want to be the first team to successfully defend the Champions League title.

Here is all you need to know from last night
