Bad news for the rest of Europe as Barcelona get stronger

Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal

Just when you thought Barcelona couldn’t get any better they can now finally add Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal to their first team squad and both players could make their debuts this week. I guess this is especially bad news for Arsenal who face them in the Champions League next month.

The Catalan giants went on a bit of playing registering splurge as soon as the transfer window open as they registered an outlandish 77 new names to their ranks, although this is the total spread throughout the myriad of reserve and youth teams.

Turan and Vidal who were signed from Atletico and Sevilla respectively in the Summer are no doubt itching to make their debuts and it could happen Tomorrow when they face cross city rivals Espanyol in the Spanish Cup, these two sides met at the weekend and it was a rare blank for Barca as they only managed a 0-0 draw so will no doubt be looking to exact revenge.

That drew led Barcelona to be knocked off the La Liga perch by Atletico and they now sit 2 points behind albeit with a game in hand so these two new additions to a squad already packed with superstars will be a welcome boost as they look to secure a 2nd La Liga title in a row and also defend their Champions League title. Great news for Barcelona terrible news for everyone else.
