- That win takes us up to 2nd place then. Wow
- It was a deserved win yesterday but it took a while to break Watford down with Heurelho Gomes keeping us at bay for long spells of the game
- If it was a Tottenham of old then that would have been a frustrating 0-0 draw but we kept at that them and didn’t stop until the deadlock was broken, Dele Alli coming off the bench to lay a perfect ball across the box for Kieran Trippier to slot home
- Even when 1-0 up we didn’t drop off and went looking for a second to kill the game off, as we have got our fingers burned in that situation
- The second goal didn’t come but truth be told Watford didn’t cause us too much problems, it was a dominant performance from Spurs
- Ben Davies was lively throughout and had 2 chances in the first half to get his first ever goal for Spurs
- The full back play from Trippier and Davies was impressive all game, these are arguably our reserve full backs but they looked so assured. It’s such a positive that the full backs are interchangeable without a dip in quality
- Thought Kevin Wimmer looked solid but again he didn’t really have too much to do. He’s add a pretty easy 3 games to bed in, next week will be a bigger test mind you
- No goal for Harry Kane but no drama, who needs a second striker when the goals are being shared out across the squad. Still the window is closed, the situation is what it is. We need to stop banging this particular drum
- We sit 5 points behind Leicester, the question we ask now is when do we start believing that we can win it as well?
- I think we are almost in the perfect position as it’s Leicester’s to lose at the moment so if we can just fly a bit more under the radar then we can just concentrate on the results and then who knows where we might be in another 4-5 games times
- I think Spurs fans are almost not wanting to get too carried away as it always comes back to haunt us, people are just enjoying the performances and are strapped in for the ride. Where it takes us who knows
- One thing we do know is that it’s Manchester City up next. 3rd vs 2nd, never thought I’d be typing that this season, will City bounce back or are they there for taking. It’s going to be a massive game, in what is now a tough batch of fixtures. Strap yourself in, interesting times are ahead. COYS!
