Taking a week off from Football

Firstly the good news is I am back. Regular readers would have probably worried that my rate of posts had somewhat disappeared over the past week but the truth be told is that I have given myself a well earned week off and I must say it was incredibly liberating.

Now I may be the blog that covers ‘All of the Football, All of the time’ but withthe transfer window closed I thought it was time for break to rejuvenate myself after a busy Summer what with the Euro’s and a very hectic summer of transfer news.

The fact that it was an international week somewhat helped the decision as it was an ideal time to switch off for a week. England’s Euro 2016 efforts hardly had me in a rush to watch their opening World Cup Qualifier against Slovakia on Sunday and truth be told I haven’t seen a kick of action from any of these qualifiers let alone know some of the scores.

But I’m now ready to go again and look forward to covering the season ahead, with the transfer window closed the site will be able to take more of a view on Match previews/reviews and the stories behind the action and where better to start than this weekend’s Manchester Derby where someone’s 100 percent record will have to go.

Last month saw over 10,000 page views so it’s obvious what a return to domestic action can do for the site and I’ve also had some personal success with winning the FootballFancast.com writing competition for the second month in a row. That hard work earned a rest but now I’m ready to get back in the swing of things.

Please don’t go anywhere as the best is yet to come. Thanks for reading and be sure to return on a regular basis.

Thanks

Dan
