Real Football Man All of the Football, All of the time
Another day, another analysis piece this time over at my sister website Real Football Data I pick about the prediction data between Portugal and Chile in the FIFA Confederations Cup. As we know by now Chile have progressed to the final but did Twitter get this one correct?
As I mentioned the other day to begin with it will be whether the wisdom of crowds can correctly pick the outcomes in football matches (then again it could be any sport for that matter – although that is probably me getting ahead of myself) but ultimately where it will get more interesting is when we start collating data in non tournament matches
At present it is simple ‘a’ or ‘b’ decision due to the nature of knockout football but when we add in the third element of a draw will the voters still be as wise. This is will all unfold other the weeks and months to come as the domestic season’s edge ever closer.
