Leicester City have sacked manager Nigel Pearson, with the club saying the working relationship between Pearson and the board was “no longer viable”.
Pearson, 51, guided the Foxes to 14th in the Premier League in 2014-15.
“Regrettably, the club believes that the working relationship between Nigel and the board is no longer viable,” said a Leicester statement.
“It has become clear that fundamental differences in perspective exist between us.”
In June, Pearson’s son James was one of three players sacked by the club for their involvement in a racist sex tape.
To me this says and it’s purely conjecture that I think Nigel has gone to the wall for his son and ended up also coming a cropper. This is a man who was supposedly sacked in January but then managed to guide the club to one of if not the greatest escape in Premier League history so it must say that it has come as a bit of a surprise but as the saying goes “Blood does flow thicker than water”
Pearson did also lead Sheffield Wednesday to League Cup glory back in the early 1990’s could he end up back at Hillsborough and fill the vacant hotseat left by the sacking of Stewart Gray – then again after just being sacked by a pair of Thai Owners, maybe Nigel will have an Indian for tea tonight instead.
