Easy like Sunday morning it is now time for another serving of transfer gossip as we take a look at what is making the headlines on the backpages today. So go grab yourself a coffee, make a bacon sandwich and get ready to tuck in on some news.

As always – gossip in plain text, my views in bold

Real Madrid have told Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo that he can leave in the summer, with Paris St-Germain and Manchester United both interested in the 32-year-old. (Yahoo) Could this part of a deal that sees Neymar go the other way?

Tottenham striker Harry Kane, 24, will be a target for Real Madrid in the summer, with the Spanish club prepared to pay £200m for the England striker. (Sunday Times – subscription required) A target maybe but he will not be moving this Summer.

Arsenal have made a £44m bid for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, 28, but will have to raise their offer to about £53m to convince the German club to do business. (Kicker – in German) Why do Arsenal make life harder than it needs be, why not just match the valuation. It’s not as if they are short of money are they.

Chelsea are closing in on an agreement to sign Bosnian former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko, 31, and Brazil-born left-back Emerson Palmieri, 23, from Roma, with the Italian side asking for £53m. (Gianlucadimarzio.com – in Italian) The third time this story has been mentioned in the past week.

Chelsea have approached Leicester City about signing Algeria international striker Islam Slimani, 29, on loan. (Sunday Times – subscription required) Chelsea casting their net far and wide in a bid to land attacking additions

Tottenham are interested in Bordeaux’s 20-year-old Brazilian attacker Malcom, but want to be the only bidders to avoid his value rising. (Football London) Knowing our luck with transfers, we would still lose a one horse race.

Manchester City have held talks with Shakhtar Donetsk about a deal to sign 24-year-old midfielder Fred, who would join in the summer. (Sunday Telegraph) Fredding the deal together

Arsenal and Liverpool face disappointment in their attempts to sign Monaco winger Thomas Lemar because the 22-year-old wants to join Barcelona. (Daily Star Sunday) More the fact that neither club will pay £90m for him.

Valencia are planning to use the uncertainty over Manchester United winger Juan Mata’s future at the club by signing the 29-year-old Spain international on a free transfer during the summer. (Daily Star Sunday) If they can secure a top four spot in La Liga come the end of the season, this one could have legs

Tottenham are interested in signing Atletico Madrid striker Kevin Gameiro, 30, on loan if he is not sold by the Spanish club this January. (S*n on Sunday) That would be a smart addition in my opinion

Southampton are in talks to sign Monaco striker Guido Carrillo, 26, and the Spartak Moscow winger Quincy Promes, 26, in deals that would cost a combined £50m. (Sunday Telegraph) Let’s see Southampton vs Tottenham pans out later, will Pellegrino still be in a job?

Roma want Manchester United’s 28-year-old Italian full-back Matteo Darmian, but only on loan. (Sunday Mirror) Not at the top of the queue when it comes to full backs at Old Trafford, a short term return to Italy would make sense

Barcelona’s 24-year-old Brazilian midfielder Rafinha is set to join Inter Milan on loan with an option for a £30m permanent deal. (Gazzetta dello Sport via Mail on Sunday) Could pretty much apply the same logic to Rafinha, except swap full back for midfielder.

Chelsea’s Ghanaian full-back Baba Rahman, 23, could join Schalke on loan for a second spell during his time at Stamford Bridge. (Reviersport via Goal) Why did Chelsea even buy him, such a strange signing.

Leicester City and Everton are interested in Besiktas’ 33-year-old Serbian centre-back Dusko Tosic. (Haberturk via Leicester Mercury) Is that part of a deal that Islam Slimani go to the Turkish giants?

Stoke have made a bid for New York City FC’s England Under-21 midfielder Jack Harrison, 21. (Goal) Live in New York or Stoke?…
