Tottenham have signed Cameroon international striker Clinton N’Jie from French club Lyon.
The 22-year-old, who is on a five-year contract at White Hart Lane until 2020, said: “I’m ready to give my best to help the club achieve its aims.”
N’Jie scored seven goals for the Ligue 1 side last season and has netted six in 10 appearances for Cameroon.
His arrival follows the departure of Spain striker Roberto Soldado to Villarreal.
Editor’s Note: So one striker departs and another one enters the fray at White Hart Lane. If proof was apparent we needed some more firepower on the bench then yesterday was the most shining example. Hopefully this isn’t the last of the forward purchases to come to Tottenham as I don’t think you can class Adebayor as available for selection. We need to be looking to hopefully complete a deal for Saido Berahino in the next week or two to give us more options up front. The signing of N’Jie is certainly a positive sign lets just hope it isn’t the last of the activity.
