With a quarter of this current English Premier League season in the history books, Leicester City found themselves lying third in the table and although they started brightly, some quarters questioned whether they will be able to last the distance and subsequently secure a top four finish.
However, this mindset looks set to have changed after their emphatic win over Southampton at the end of October and after putting no fewer than nine goals past a hapless Saints outfit, Brendan Rodgers men must be seriously considered as contenders for earning a Champions League berth.
If we assume that Manchester City and Liverpool will pull clear and be the two main contenders in this season’s title race, it only leaves two spots left for the rest of the elite group that is otherwise known as the ‘Big Six’ and that of course, is a group that does not include the 2015/16 Premier League champions Leicester.
With the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United all flattering to deceive at the moment, it has presented Leicester with the perfect opportunity to take full advantage of their recent misfortunes. Although, that probably does the Foxes something of a disservice at the same time.
The reason that Leicester currently find themselves at the sharp end of the table, is not just because the usual suspects have been underwhelming but because Brendan Rodgers has moulded a squad of players that are capable of playing ruthless attacking football.
Not only that, but it seems as if Jamie Vardy is going through something of a career resurgence under the tutelage of the former Celtic boss and the fact that he has scored nine goals already this season, is a no less of a testament to that.
While so impressive have Leicester’s performances been thus far, they are now garnering a lot of interest when it comes to fans putting their money where the mouths are and with many bets going in the direction of the East Midlands outfit, a Caesars Promo Code would no doubt be handy right now.
Leicester’s odds to finish in the top four at the end of the season have shortened radically over the past few weeks and with the squad still having a number of players who experienced the glory of winning the title back in 2016, they know what it takes to go all the way in the pursuit of a particular objective.
Add the youthful element that the likes of Harvey Barnes and James Madison bring to the current Leicester squad and they are arguably one of the most exciting teams in the Premier League right now. Not only that, but that excitement is also being turned into results and those results could return Champions League football next season.
