Bournemouth complete Striker Smash and Grabban

Bournemouth have re-signed striker Lewis Grabban from Norwich City for a fee of about £7m.

The 27-year-old left the Cherries for Carrow Road in 2014 and has returned on a three-and-a-half-year contract.

The signing of Grabban comes a day after Bournemouth completed a move for Wolves striker Benik Afobe, taking the Cherries’ spending to £16m in 24 hours.

Editor’s Note: Eddie Howe has been the busiest of the Premier League Managers since the transfer window re-opened with his third signing to go alongside Juan Irtube and Benik Afobe. It seems that Howe has pinpointed that goals will be required to keep Bournemouth away from the drop zone and has stocked up the forward ranks accordingly.

It seems as if they may be going for broke by spending £16m in the space of two days but as I said yesterday if these players do what they bought in to do and that is primarily get goals then the signings will be priceless. Will Howe feel that is the last of the business or will he now look to add names to the Midfield and Defensive ranks, that question will be answered by the end of the Month.
