The international break has reared it’s ugly head and that means there are no Premier League Predictions this week but what it does mean is that I can review last week’s offerings. To be honest I don’t think it will make for very good reading. Without further delay here is how I fared last weekend
Saturday
Huddersfield vs Tottenham – Tottenham Win YES
Bournemouth vs Leicester – Leicester Win NO
Manchester United vs Crystal Palace – Manchester United Win YES
Stoke vs Southampton – Draw NO
West Brom vs Watford – Watford Win NO
West Ham vs Swansea – West Ham Win YES
Chelsea vs Manchester City – Draw NO
Sunday
Arsenal vs Brighton – Arsenal Win YES
Everton vs Burnley – Everton Win NO
Newcastle vs Liverpool – Liverpool Win NO
Oh dear. A paltry four out of ten has seen that “positive momentum” come to a screeching halt. After a relatively decent six out of ten the week before it seems as if that was the exception rather than the rule as once again it is a below average week.
That means at the start of the season from 70 potential predictions, I have got just 30 correct. For all you maths fans that means I have got just 42.8% of my predictions correct. I may as well just throw my money in the bin with the form I am currently having.
Ultimately I can only blame myself as I made the picks but the two Merseyside clubs did my little favours with Liverpool slipping up away from home and Everton stuttering to another defeat. Still it is what it is and I am the one that will have to deal with the doom and gloom.
In all fairness it is probably a good thing that the international break has come around as I wouldn’t even back myself to get any predictions correct right now. Still there’s always next week. Until then.
