2017/18 Premier League Predictions – Week 11 (Review)

Week 11 of the Premier League season may have been a long time ago now and truth be told I forgot to review my predictions last week. Then again due to the domestic hiatus it is not really all that much of an issue so without further ado let’s see how I fared before England bored us to death.

Saturday

Stoke vs Leicester – Leicester Win NO

Huddersfield vs West Brom – Huddersfield Win YES

Newcastle vs Bournemouth – Newcastle Win NO

Southampton vs Burnley – Draw NO

Swansea vs Brighton – Draw NO

West Ham vs Liverpool – Liverpool Win YES

Sunday

Tottenham vs Crystal Palace – Tottenham Win YES

Manchester City vs Arsenal – Manchester City Win YES

Chelsea vs Manchester United – Draw NO

Everton vs Watford – Watford Win. NO

So after a respectable run of weeks it seems as if I went into the international week with something to dwell on, the kind of performance that would have got Slaven Bilic sacked. Luckily I get a stay of execution but ultimately it means I am only on 48 correct predicitions out of 110 at this point of the season.

Now for all you maths fans that equates to 43.6%, nowhere near the halfway mark. Even if I got all 10 picks correct this week I would still not be able to hit 50%. Truth be told I need to turn things around and quickly otherwise this could be a remarkably bad season in terms of predictions.

The fact that there were some big head to head matches did not help as that is always going to be a tougher call and Manchester United did me no favours that said the team which should hang their heads in shame is that of Watford who contrived to give away a 2-0 lead and keep David Unsworth in the Everton interim hotseat for at least a few more weeks.

Anyway enough of what happened before the international break especially as it was an age ago in footballing terms. Instead of looking forward we need to look back and that is exactly what will be doing tomorrow when I offer up my next raft of Premier League Predictions. Until then.
