- The Rafaloution may have been televised but it was obviously delayed as Leicester extended their lead to 5 points over Tottenham
- Shinji Okazaki’s Bicycle Kick was worthy of winning any game and that goal was the sole difference at The King Power Stadium last night.
- A 5 point difference with just 8 games to go and the title certainly moves a step closer to Leicester
- Although Arsenal and Manchester City both have a game in hand you feel that it’s always better to have points on the board at this stage of the season. Are we simply now looking at a 2 horse race for the title
- Claudio Ranieri still thinks it’s from 1 of the top 4 who will win the title but you have to wonder if Arsenal and City have left themselves too much ground to close up
- Newcastle missed their opportunity to move out of the bottom 3 but the focus now shifts to the massive Tyne Wear Derby with Sunderland on Sunday
- Newcastle certainly looked an improved outfit last night and that will give Rafa Benitez grounds for optimism
- They went close from Ayose Perez and Moussa Sissoko but couldn’t break down a resolute Leicester backline
- But more importantly they have to start picking up wins and where better than at The Stadium of Light this Weekend
- Leicester may not quite have the zip of the first half of the season but they are doing just enough each week to get themselves over the line
- A second successive 1-0 win keeps that healthy buffer between themselves and Tottenham
- Right now for Leicester it’s not a case of how they wins just the fact that they do
- They could be as much as 8 points clear by Saturday Afternoon what with Tottenham playing 24 hours later, if they manage that then it heaps even more pressure on the North London side
