- A dramatic night in Munich as Bayern drag themselves back from the brink to progress to the Champions League Quarter Finals
- Juventus will be asking themselves how they ending up throwing this one away after cruising into a 2-0 lead in the first half
- The Old Lady were gifted the lead as early as the 5th Minute when David Alaba and Manuel Neuer got into a mix up and neither cleared their lines properly this allowed Paul Pogba to slot home and but the visitors in front
- It was a pulsating tie with action from end to end and that is how Juventus doubled their lead
- From a counter attacking move, Alvaro Morata went on a seemingly never ending run
- Running right at the heart of the Bayern Midfield and then Defence, he managed to part both lines and then found Juan Cuadrado out wide
- Cuadrado still had some work to do but coolly slotted past Neuer to make it 2-0 and silence The Allianz Arena
- 2-0 at the break and a lot of soul searching for Bayern was needed
- But it didn’t stop there Morata who had an excellent game so nearly made it 3-0 to Juventus after another jinking run lead to a goalscoring opportunity. This time he went alone but his shot was just deflected over for a corner
- That would have been game over but thankfully for Bayern it wasn’t
- At the time it didn’t look like a masterstroke of a substitution but Pep Guardiola decided to bring Kingsley Coman on for Xabi Alonso
- Not forgetting that Coman was actually a Juventus player but on loan and registered to play for Bayern
- His energy gave Bayern fresh impetus and they looked to try and haul themselves back into the game
- If that substitution helped Bayern then surely Morata coming off for ex Bayern old boy Mario Mandzukic had the opposite effect for Juventus
- They seemed to lose that spark and then started to rely on Mandzukic just holding the ball up
- It looked like Juventus were ready to kill off the game
- But Douglas Costa the only Bayern who looked worthy of their status up until that point laid a fantastic cross right on the head of Robert Lewandowski who duly obliged to give Bayern hope with 17 minutes to go.
- Then it was wave after wave of relentless Bayern pressure and just when Juventus thought they had done enough
- Another cross into the box and this time Thomas Muller was on hand to send The Allianz Arena into raptures
- With the game going into Extra Time you knew the game was now only going to go one way
- And it did. Two goals in two minutes sealed a stunning comeback for Bayern
- Substitute Thiago but Bayern ahead in the tie and then Coman added a 4th on the night to haunt Juventus and put Bayern in the Quarter Final Draw on Friday
- A fantastic game to watch and Pep Guardiola not quite bowing out of European action as Bayern boss
