The Jose Mourinho at Manchester United era got officially under way yesterday as he took his side to the DW Stadium to face Championship side Wigan Athletic in a pre-season friendly.
In what was a relatively low key affair, United strolled to a comfortable 2-0 win with goals from Will Keane and Andreas Pereira. The lineup saw new summer signings saw Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan blooded, while Luke Shaw made his first appearance since suffering a double leg fracture last September.
