Real Madrid once again made history yesterday as they continued their current winning run to 39 matches, a now joint record winning streak in all competitions for a La Liga side. Los Blancos now share this particular record with their arch rivals Barcelona and they did so in emphatic fashion.
Fresh off their FIFA World Club Cup victory when they were taken to Extra Time by Japanese side Kashima Antlers they were in no charitable mood for the visit of Granada on Saturday Afternoon. A win for Zinedine Zidane’s side would not only create history but would also put them 6 points clear of Barcelona.
And it was potential Tottenham target Isco who got his side off to a perfect start as he put Real in front on 12 minutes, soon after a couple of quickfire goals from Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo had already wrapped up the game up while just after the half hour Isco had bagged his second of the game to cancel out any doubt of there not being anything other than a home win.
Brazilian midfielder Casemiero would make it 5-0 shortly after the restart in what was a resounding victory for Real at The Bernabeu.
