Zinedine Zidane suffered his first defeat since taking charge of Real Madrid as they lost to cross city rivals Atletico in the Madrid Derby. That win allows Atletico to cut the gap to the top of La Liga to 5 points although Barcelona do have a game in hand which they play Today while the defeat for Real all but ends their title hopes you would imagine.
The defeat also saw an outburst by Cristiano Ronaldo as seemed to say that if Real had 11 of him then they would have won, it then saw an embarrassing climb down later in the evening as he retracted his statement at the risk of upsetting the rest of the squad.
