Real Football Men – Fantasy Football Roundup Gameweek 38

The long arduous Fantasy Football season has ended and I can now announce the first ever winner of the Real Football Men FPL Championship. That man is David McDonagh.

It will come as no great surprise what with David having an unassailable lead going into the final day and he has been top of the FPL tree for a long time now. He ended up of with a winning advantage of 79 points over runner up Nana Kofi Abiri. Nana was never quite able to put any pressure on David but will no doubt be happy with a runners up spot

In third was none other than yours truly, I managed to fend off the challenge of Dennis Kioko who ended up in 4th place, Dennis did manage to close the gap on the final day to 16 points but it wouldn’t be enough to overhaul myself and snatch 3rd on the final day. Dennis will have to like myself make do with a Champions League place

Dennis also managed to extend the gap to 5th and Ho Yeung Howard Tian, while the final two Europa League spots were taken by Kwame Twumasi and Atour Toma who exchanged 6th and 7th on the final day of the season. Atour’s lowest score of the week proving costly in the race for 6th

Lasse Ehrer, Alan Salih and this weeks top scorer Gareth Prosser all moved up the table on the final day but ultimately it counts for nothing while Tomasz Kowalski, Tim Ward and David Lucas slipped down the table. David has plummeted down the table he was comfortably in the lead at one point but has had to make do with a 15th place finish

At the bottom, opening day leader Will Harwood finished second bottom while The Everyday Pundit won’t be having his contract renewed at the end of the season after finishing bottom of the table.

So that concludes the season, thanks to all the other 16 managers who joined myself in the first ever Real Football Men FPL competition I hope you and many others join me next season. Until July when the code is revealed that’s all for now

Highest Score – Gareth Prosser 65

Lowest Score – Atour Toma 21

Champions League: David McDonagh, Nana Kofi Abiri, Dan Tracey, Dennis Kioko

Europa League: Ho Yeung Howard Tian, Kwame Twumasi, Atour Toma
