Real Football Cast – Season 2 Episode 44

After three months of ifs and buts, the Real Football Cast is finally back in business, and on this week’s episode, Dan, Drew and Karl look back on each of the 12 Premier League games that have taken place in this first gameweek since the restart.

The biggest talking point was undoubtedly the technological howler at Villa Park and although the hosts dodged a bullet and subsequently managed to earn a point against Sheffield United, questions will be asked regarding the lack of working goal line technology

A Rampant City Side

Pep Guardiola’s men may not have a lot to play for, but they are certainly not folding their cards early and after scoring no fewer than eight goals at the Etihad last week – disposing of both Arsenal and Burnley with ease, there is no let up for Manchester City.

They’ve done their best to delay any Premier League winning party and although Liverpool had to make do with a share of the Merseyside bragging rights, the Champagne corks will soon be flying.

The Great Escape (Or Perhaps Not)

For Daniel Farke’s men, the great escape needed to start last weekend. Unfortunately for Norwich they had the worst possible restart and although the message seems to be that his team will keep on fighting, there must be a quiet acceptance of the inevitable.

As far as Brighton are concerned, they picked up a huge win over Arsenal last weekend and with a first league success of 2020, they have taken a huge step to a second successful Premier League survival attempt.

All that and more is discussed within the next hour below. Tune in and find out our take on what happened last weekend.
