Real Football Cast – Season 2 Episode 18
The Real Football Cast returns for its 18th appearance of the season (62 full episodes if you really are keeping score) and although we do review another weekend of Premier League, the episode does take on a slightly different format.
That’s because with Amazon Prime entering the TV landscape in the United Kingdom, me and Drew discuss what will the rights deals look like when they enter their next cycle and could a streaming only deal, be the future.
Not only that, we discuss whether the Premier League could take things in house and create their own Netflix style or platform or whether the success of the Amazon coverage will then jolt Apple and Facebook into action.
Of course there is also some football to discuss and that means the sackings of both Unai Emery and Quique Sanchez Flores, while also running the rule over the fact that Manchester City have all but thrown away the chance of winning a third successive Premier League title.
