In time for Manchester City’s Carabao Cup third-round match against Chelsea, Kalvin Phillips will rejoin the team.

The England midfielder hasn’t played since having shoulder surgery in September, but Pep Guardiola, the manager of City, has stated he’ll be one of the replacements when the team plays at Etihad Stadium.

Due to his Saturday’s red card against Fulham, Joao Cancelo is still banned, while Kyle Walker is still unavailable.

Jorginho is questionable for Chelsea after suffering a foot injury.

Reece James, Ben Chilwell, and midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka are still out for Blues boss Graham Potter, while Edouard Mendy will remain in goal as Kepa Arrizabalaga recovers from a plantar fascia rupture.

England right-back Walker is still sidelined after having surgery on his groyne, while Cancelo will serve a suspension.
