Norwich vs Tottenham – Match Preview

Norwich could give a debut to on-loan Patrick Bamford while fellow new signing Timm Klose could also play for the Canaries for the first time.

Gary O’Neil is banned but Andre Wisdom, who was ineligible against parent club Liverpool, is available again.

Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino has no new injury worries ahead of the visit to Carrow Road.

Dele Alli is set to be among those back in the starting XI after not featuring in the FA Cup win at Colchester.

Editor’s Note: Tottenham failed in their bid to get a new Striker in the January Transfer Window, will this be a stick to beat Mauricio Pochettino with? Well Tonight will be another test of squad depth as they travel to Carrow Road this Evening for the trip to Norwich.

Spurs had the chance to rest a couple of key names at the Weekend as they strolled past League One Colchester in their F.A. Cup 4th Round Tie. That Afternoon Nacer Chadli got a brace and that coupled with his late strike against Crystal Palace the week previous could indicate that he will be used the backup Striker between now and the end of the season.

It seems as if Maurico Pochettino has put his faith in the squad he has, he went on record saying that if no one could improve what he already had then he wouldn’t necessarily buy anyone else so it looks like that has been the case and with a fluid attacking line it seems as if Heung-Min Son and Nacer Chadli will be set to play a key role in the Tottenham squad.

At the other end of the pitch Jan Vertonghen is a long term absentee due to a medial ligament injury so Kevin Wimmer who deputised at the Weekend will continue to keep his place in the team while Dele Alli is also expected to return after being rested against Colchester

It was last time out in the League away at Crystal Palace that Alli grabbed all the headlines with his outrageous Goal that put The North London side ahead in a pulsating Derby. Tottenham fans will be hoping for another fantastic performance this evening

They face a Norwich side who lost a stupendous 9 Goal thriller to Liverpool in their last League encounter, going 3-1 ahead and then seemingly managing to get a share of the points in injury time only to throw it away all over again with Adam Lallana grabbing an even later winner.

New signing Steven Naismith looked a handful and managed to bag a Goal on his debut but for all of Norwich’s attacking endeavor, Alex Neil must still be having sleepless nights at the fact his side scored 4 and still ended up on the losing side that day.

His Norwich side sit just above the relegation zone in 17th and have lost their last 3 matches, it’s Defence that seems to be the major issue this season with The Canaries conceding the second highest amount of goals only second to fellow strugglers Sunderland

It’s going to be a big test for Norwich Tonight but also Spurs will have to make sure that their momentum continues as they try and breach the gap to the 3 clubs ahead of them. I think Mauricio Pochettino’s men will have the better of this encounter. An away win for me
