They were beaten by Stoke on Wednesday thanks to a late Xhedran Shaqiri strike, truth be told they didn’t offer too much at The Britannia and these performances must worry Steve McClaren. With Aston Villa all but down it’s looking like two from three out of themselves, Sunderland and Norwich.
Their opponents this Afternoon Bournemouth would have down their survival hopes a massive boost on Tuesday as they won in the South Coast Derby over Southampton. That win sees them move 8 points clear of the drop zone, a win Today could see them as high as 11 points away from the drop zone.
You’d think Bournemouth would need 3 wins between now and the final day to guarantee survival and they will look at Today’s fixture as potentially one of them. I don’t think they’ll get it but I don’t think they will come away empty handed. Honours even and a draw for me.
