Here’s a Goal of the Season contender from Down Under that you may not have seen.
Tarek Elrich’s mazy run and shot was reminiscent of Ryan Giggs back in 1999 at Villa Park in the F.A. Cup Semi Final between Manchester United and Arsenal
The Adelaide winger scored the outrageous goal against Melbourne City in the A-League and it’s been suggested that it is the greatest goal ever seen in the league. (To be fair that’s not the boldest statement ever to be written on this blog)
It could even be a contender for FIFA’s Puskas Award for the Best Goal of 2015 – I guess we will have to watch this space..
