Real Football Man All of the Football, All of the time
A New Year always brings new ideas and here is my latest one and one that I can open up to you also. I’ve got to a point where the website is performing well but as a one man band who fits in not only external writing duties but ALSO a full time job I get the feeling that things are starting to plateau.
That’s not necessarily a bad thing as I’m incredibly pleased with the operation of this site and the work I’ve put into it BUT like anyone who operates a website you always want it to be bigger and better and this is where you can come in.
Basically I would like people to come on board and offer up some guest columns on a weekly/semi regular basis. I’d like to think I cover as much Premier League news as I possibly can and even then there are items that slip through the net but I also think we can spread that net wider.
So what I’m looking for are aspiring writers or just fans who want a platform to air their views on the following competitions
- Championship
- League One
- League Two
- Bundesliga
- Serie A
- Ligue 1
- MLS and/or US Soccer in general
Or truth be told it does not have to be limited there, if you think you can cover a competition on a weekly basis then I’d be more than happy to host your work on my site.
Unfortunately I can’t pay you (at present) so I appreciate you’ll be giving up your spare time but what I can give you is a platform to show your work on a large platform one that with your content will only get bigger as the months progress.
I appreciate that the fact you’ll have to work for free is not the most appealing but we all have to start somewhere and I’ve been in the very same position a few years ago, I can’t reimburse you but I can offer you the perfect place for you to start building a portfolio of your own which will help any future career you may have.
So if you think you may be willing to get on board and become a regular columnist giving a weekly roundup on one of the other competitions around the world, ones that that perhaps don’t quite get the coverage they may deserve then please feel free to drop me an e-mail.
