January BBC Gossip Column Debunked – Issue 30

The transfer window closes tomorrow night and now the attempts to make deals are now becoming slightly more frantic, with that in mind, lets take a look at who is creating the gossip on all of the back pages of the tabloids this morning.

Chelsea hope to sign Giroud as part of a transfer merry-go-round that will see Aubameyang join Arsenal and Chelsea’s Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi, 24, move to Borussia Dortmund. (Telegraph) It seems this is now a three pronged transfer deal, Chelsea are going to play a big part in this deal should it go ahead

Chelsea are targeting Tottenham’s Spanish striker Fernando Llorente, 32, if they cannot land their number one target Giroud. (Sun) Tottenham will not sell without a replacement though

Juventus are confident that they will be able to sign Liverpool midfielder Emre Can, 24. (Mail) I thought this was a deal that was completed at the start of the month? Obviously not

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp claims added time was cut short by broadcasters BT Sport during his side’s FA Cup defeat by West Bromwich Albion. (Telegraph) Not sure if that is true, but there certainly was not enough of it.

Barcelona’s Brazilian forward Philippe Coutinho, 25, returned to former club Liverpool’s training ground to say goodbye to team-mates. (Mail) Not really news is it
