Is Pep Guardiola set to give the Managerial Merry Go Round a big spin?

Well it’s now official and Pep Guardiola has announced he is to depart Bayern Munich at the end of the season. The Bundesliga giants have moved quickly and immediately announced that Carlo Ancelotti will take the reigns in the Summer

This now means there is going to be a big race for Guardiola’s signature with his next destination surely set to be the Premier League but the big question is where?

Nothing has really changed since Thursday when I first made a case of the runners and riders, the only extra sting in the tail is the fact that Jose Mourinho has also been sacked so he is also waiting in the wings and potentially adding pressure to Louis Van Gaal.

Technically you’ve know got two world class Managers as free agents for next season or Mourinho’s case even sooner, does that make the current managers of the Manchester clubs sitting ducks?

Will Manchester City do all they can to beat Chelsea to the race for Guardiola’s signature, is Pellegrini’s role slightly untenable even if he was to deliver a Premier League title in May. What if he was to deliver a Champions League title?

Do Manchester United step out of the race for Guardiola and try to secure Mourinho instead. Do they press the panic button before the end of the season especially as Mourinho has said he is not looking for a sabbatical and is ready to get back into work straight away.

If Chelsea were to snare Guardiola from Manchester City does that keep Pellegrini safe or does than Diego Simeone become a more attractive proposition all of a sudden

There are a myriad of possible permutations that could happen over the next few months but one thing is for sure the hotseats in Manchester just get a little bit hotter over the last few days.
