Have you heard the latest gossip?

The weekend is nearly upon us, but there is no let up in terms of transfer gossip. Once again it’s a bumper edition, well 10 minutes worth anyway and these are the big stories up for discussion:

Chelsea are in talks to sign Juventus and Argentina striker Gonzalo Higuain on loan until the end of the season – although the Italian giants would prefer to sell him on a permanent basis. The 31-year-old is on loan at fellow Serie A side AC Milan at the moment. (Telegraph)

The Blues have rejected an offer from Barcelona for 30-year-old Willian which would have involved fellow Brazil forward Malcom, 21, going the other way. (Telegraph)

Barcelona could look to sell playmaker Philippe Coutinho, 26, in the summer to fund a move to bring his Brazil team-mate, 26-year-old Paris St-Germain forward Neymar, back to the Nou Camp. (Standard)

Bayern Munich are in talks with PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot, who was linked with a free transfer to Barcelona in the summer, and could sign the 23-year-old France international in January. (Radio Montecarlo, via Express)

Everton are among several clubs interested in signing Chelsea and Belgium striker Michy Batshuayi after the 25-year-old’s loan spell at Valencia was cut short. (Telegraph)

Crystal Palace and Fulham are also interested in signing Batshuayi. (Mirror)

Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne, 27, went straight down the tunnel following his substitution in the Carabao Cup semi-final against Burton Albion because he was unhappy at being taken off after 58 minutes. (Times – subscription required)

Watford midfielder Roberto Pereyra’s agent says Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is interested in the 28-year-old Argentine. (Mirror)

Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl says 30-year-old English goalkeeper Fraser Forster is not part of his plans. (Daily Echo)

Newcastle United have joined Liverpool in the race to sign Trabzonspor midfielder Abdulkadir Omur. The 19-year-old has been dubbed the “Turkish Lionel Messi”. (Sun)

England manager Gareth Southgate is considering recalling Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton, 32. (Mail)

Wolves have been linked with a move for Liverpool’s Belgium striker Divock Origi in the January transfer window. Origi scored in the FA Cup tie between the two teams on Monday but has only started one Premier League game this season. (Birmingham Mail)

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp intends to keep 23-year-old Origi at the club for the rest of the season. (Liverpool Echo)

Burnley boss Sean Dyche has described reported Liverpool interest in 26-year-old England defender James Tarkowski as “bizarre”, adding that “there are a lot of rumours out there, and not much fact”. (Express)

Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella intends to turn down a move to Chelsea this month. Blues boss Maurizio Sarri is prepared to pay £45m for the 21-year-old Italy midfielder. (Tutto Mercato, via Talksport)

Manchester United and Spain midfielder Juan Mata, 30, says he does not know where his future lies with his Old Trafford contract set to expire in the summer. (AS – in Spanish)

Huddersfield have had a bid for Japan forward Shinji Okazaki, 32, rejected by Premier League rivals Leicester City. (Sun)
