Footballers with Top Knots #13

It’s been a busy weekend of negotiations but there has been another new signing for the club, this one took a while to clinch but it’s another big name and certainly worth the wait. I’ve had a couple of scouts keep an eye on him and the reports have been glowing, credit has to go out to @likeavillasboas and @AT_Spurs for their scouting work. So without further ado I can announce the next signing for F.C. Top Knot it’s none other than Roma and Italy Left Back Federico Balzaretti.

Now you may already remember that we already have a Left Back, but I’ve managed to do some tinkering and move some players about, so the even bigger news is that we now have a full starting eleven. The team now looks as follows

With the signing of Balzaretti,  this has allowed to move to Kieran Richardson to Left Wing and move Nacer Chadli into a Centre Midfield role, now admittedly this will leave us without any real defensive cover but I want F.C. Top Knot to be known for it’s attacking flair and gung-ho playing style so I think the personnel will be fine for now. I think we’re certainly going to an easy on the eye team and definitely be one for the neutrals.

I’ve also managed to get a 3rd Left Back in who will be keeping the bench warm. Thanks to my lower league scout @herbz16 who managed to track down Ben Coker from Southend United

So he now joins the subs list which is:

Ben Coker (DL), Tom Kennedy (DC), Curtis Main (FC) – hopefully this list can be added to also. I could also consider John Brayford, Chico Flores and Niclas Bendtner but they have removed their top knots, so may have to loosen the rules to include them in the squad. Another suggestion by @boysinroyalblue was Edinson Cavani but the Top Knot is very rare for him, so I think it would be unfair to put him in the squad at the moment

Now that I have a full starting eleven, it’s time to reveal what the actual point of this is. I’m going to create a team on FIFA and start simulating the result to see how succesful an actual F.C. Top Knot side would be. If I can get even more players I could also consider starting a team on Football Manager and putting them in the Vanarama Conference and seeing how far they progress.

So that’s the plan outlined I think I may need a few more players to get an FM team going, so if you do come across anymore then let me know on here or use the hashtag #FootballersWithTopKnots – as always the hunt continues!
