After an average start as you could possibly achieve last week, it is time to see whether or not my fortunes can change early on in regards to Premier League predictions. Last week saw a mid table finish of 5 out of 10, not quite the start I was looking for in all fairness.
But there is no point dwelling on that and just like any good (or bad) gambler I’m ready to as in the words of former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard “Go Again” and here are my predictions for Week 2 of this 2017/18 Premier League season.
Saturday
Swansea vs Manchester United – Manchester United Win
Bournemouth vs Watford – Draw
Burnley vs West Brom – Burnley Win
Leicester vs Brighton – Leicester Win
Liverpool vs Crystal Palace – Liverpool Win
Southampton vs West Ham – Southampton Win
Stoke vs Arsenal – Arsenal Win
Sunday
Huddersfield vs Newcastle – Draw
Tottenham vs Chelsea – Draw
Monday
Manchester City vs Everton – Manchester City Win
There you have it then, there are my picks for the weekend. The big tie of the week is without question Tottenham playing host to Chelsea at Wembley, whether Spurs can break the hoodoo at the ground come Sunday I’m not too sure but at the same time the defending champions are very depleted going into this one so I cannot see Mauricio Pochettino’s men losing either.
Liverpool have lost their last three home encounters with Crystal Palace but after Frank De Boer‘s team crumpled to Huddersfield last week then I think even after Jurgen Klopp’s side have had European exploits they will still have enough to win at Anfield.
Of course there are eight other picks but I would go into full detail for all the matches across my Premier League previews later in the week, so do keep an eye out for them. As always best of luck if you do follow my predictions, place your bets now
