After a bang average start to the season last week which saw me earn just 5 correct picks out of 10, it’s now time to see if I fared any better over this extended weekend. To be honest with you, I don’t think I have. Let’s see how I fared shall we.
Saturday
Swansea vs Manchester United – Manchester United Win YES
Bournemouth vs Watford – Draw NO
Burnley vs West Brom – Burnley Win NO
Leicester vs Brighton – Leicester Win YES
Liverpool vs Crystal Palace – Liverpool Win YES
Southampton vs West Ham – Southampton Win YES
Stoke vs Arsenal – Arsenal Win NO
Sunday
Huddersfield vs Newcastle – Draw NO
Tottenham vs Chelsea – Draw NO
Monday
Manchester City vs Everton – Manchester City Win NO
Ouch instead of my form getting better, my form has got worse. Just 4 out of 10 during this long weekend. That means I have only got 9 out of 20 picks correct this season. That for all you maths fans out there is just 45%.
Saturday’s picks were not great with just 4 from 7, but usually that can be fleshed out over Sunday and/or Monday. Not this time though, a treble of fixtures were all incorrectly predicted leaving me with a very measly score this time around.
Not a good start at all, conversely though my Fantasy Football team has got off to an absolutely flyer, so maybe you cannot be good at both. Or maybe Premier League predictions are just incredibly hard to nail down each week.
I mean we’ve seen a definite coupon buster in each of these two weeks, first up it was Chelsea losing to Burnley and last Saturday saw Arsenal defeated by Stoke.
But like any bad gambler as it would now seem that I have become, I shall return on Thursday with my next raft of Premier League Predictions. I’m off to sulk for the next couple of days. Until then.
