The first set of Premier League fixtures in 2018 are just hours away and that means it is time to serve up my first raft of predictions for this year. 2017 did not end in the best fashion with a number of coupon busters not helping my plight but here is what I think will happen over the course of this week as we are treated to 11 fixtures over the next four days.
Monday
Brighton vs Bournemouth – Draw
Burnley vs Liverpool – Liverpool Win
Leicester vs Huddersfield – Leicester Win
Stoke vs Newcastle – Draw
Everton vs Manchester United – Manchester United Win
Tuesday
Manchester City vs Watford – Manchester City Win
Southampton vs Crystal Palace – Draw
Swansea vs Tottenham – Tottenham Win
West Ham vs West Brom – West Ham Win
Wednesday
Arsenal vs Chelsea – Chelsea Win
Thursday
Tottenham vs West Ham – Tottenham Win
Can Manchester City bounce back after a somewhat surprise draw with Crystal Palace especially as they are now without both Gabriel Jesus and Kevin De Bruyne who were injured on Sunday
Can Tottenham pick up maximum points as they play twice in two days, they will not want to concede any further ground to Liverpool in the race for fourth.
Chelsea started 2018 in second can they end the week there as they go to the Emirates on Wednesday night as they face off in what is set to be another fiery London derby and without question the biggest clash of this particular gameweek
While can Manchester United put an end to their unwanted run of draws as they make the relatively short journey to Everton this evening
That is what I think will happen, what do you think? Please leave your thoughts in the comments below. As always best of luck if you do follow these tips but more importantly, a Happy New Year to all my readers so once again place your bets now!
