Newcastle goalkeeper Rob Elliot is expected to continue in goal despite missing international duty with Ireland because of his ongoing thigh problem.
Fellow keeper Karl Darlow could be named on the bench after returning to training following a foot injury.
Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri is hopeful Jamie Vardy will be fit to face Newcastle despite being ruled out of England’s two games with a hip problem.
The Foxes have no other injury worries following the international break.
Editor’s Note: The main storyline here no doubt revolves around Jamie Vardy. Firstly will he be fit in time to play and secondly if he does can he get the goal that equals Ruud Van Nistelrooy’s record of scoring in 10 consecutive league matches.
The Foxes keep surprising people week in and week out with their current results which sees them sit an astonishing 3rd place in the table. Then again the longer this run of form continues the less of a surprise it seems to be. They will go into tomorrow’s game favourites and will be looking to bag all 3 points and stay in 3rd place,
They face a Newcastle side who had the kitchen sink thrown at them by Bournemouth before the International Break with Rob Elliott having the game of his life as he managed to earn not only a clean sheet but the win for Newcastle. That win saw the Magpies move out of the bottom 3 at the expense of Bournemouth and they will look to use that result as a springboard to move up the table.
I have a feeling it will be honours even at St James Park tomorrow with a lot resting on Vardy’s fitness. I do hope he is fit and gets the goal but I don’t think they will come away with a win. A draw for me
