- Only saw Match Of The Day last night (Thursday) so here are some late thoughts on the Midweek Premier League action
- Gary Lineker announces his Divorce no sign of the Leather Jacket and Pierced Ear just yet
- I don’t like Didi Hamann’s punditry, I’m not sure if it’s the words or that Scouse-German Hybrid accent
- John Motson really needs putting on to pasture now, his commentary for Spurs vs Leicester was so bad. It’s not De-Lay Alli for future reference
- Manchester City passed up a chance to close the gap at the top. A missed opportunity there for sure
- I didn’t think Kyle Naughton’s tackle was a Red Card – Referee had a bit of a shocker there
- Jermain Defoe looked lively as he bagged a hat-trick for Sunderland. Would have been very useful for Spurs on Wednesday
- Guus Hiddink is still unbeaten as Chelsea Manager but they probably will feel that results like this will mean they have no chance of turning their season around and getting into the European places.
- Watford have now lost their last 3 matches and slip to 10th, when Ighalo and Deeney don’t score there doesn’t seem to be anyone else pulling up the slack
- West Ham up to 5th. Dimitri Payet really does make them tick, possibly the signing of the season especially if they were to bag a Top 4 position
- Aston Villa won a Game!
