Exeter vs Liverpool a few quick thoughts

- I expect The Exeter Chairman has woken up with a sore head this morning after seeing his side secure a money spinning trip to Anfield last night
- Jurgen Klopp raised a lot of eyebrows after making 11 changes last night
- You almost felt a bit sorry for Christian Benteke having to play with a team of reserves, maybe that might a lesson for him to raise his game
- Exeter started in the best possible fashion and Man Of The Match Tom Nichols put The Grecians infront
- Liverpool sooned restored parity after Exeter’s failure to clear and it looked like the two sides were going to go into the game level at half time
- But then Adam Bogdan. My word, I mean how do you get beaten from a corner like that. He is an awful Goalkeeper, it looks like he was won a competition to play for Liverpool.
- Brendan Rodgers was probably sitting at home thinking “He is a World Class Goalkeeper that young lad”
- Exeter were only 17 minutes away from a huge cup upset but again failure to clear enabled Liverpool to level once more and stop the night from being a total embarrassment
- Adam Lallana had a face like a 12 year old who has just been told he has to stop playing Minecraft once he found out he wasn’t going to come on
- To be fair though it did seem a weird decision to bring Adam Lallana and Lucas all that way and not even have them feature. They may as well have just been left at home
- Credit to Exeter side they matched Liverpool in every department and may count themselves unlucky not to win last night. As for Liverpool’s side I guess you can say it’s all good experience
- Jurgen Klopp’s interview at the end was pretty hilarious. The lack of comments about Adam Bogdan says it all, if he could leave him in Exeter I’m sure he probably would.
