- Manchester United threw away the chance to close the gap on the Top 4 and have now made the challenge for a Champions League place even harder.
- Guus Hiddink’s Chelsea remain unbeaten since he took charge for the second time but they left it late to keep the the streak alive
- 6 minutes of injury time was awarded due to the nasty looking injury to Kurt Zouma
- It was in the first of those additional minutes in which Chelsea got their leveller through Diego Costa
- Daley Blind went missing and Costa didn’t need any more than that as he rounded compatriot David De Gea and slotted into an empty net
- The game took a while to get going and you almost didn’t want it to finish as Chelsea nearly stole it right at the death. United certainly had David De Gea to thank after he kept Costa’s low effort out
- It certainly was one for the Goalkeepers today. Both Courtois and De Gea making fine saves today
- The main talking point of the first half was whether Chelsea should have had a Penalty. Daley Blind charged down John Terry’s effort but Referee Michael Oliver deemed it unintentional. I personally thought it was a spot kick but then again I’m not the Ref
- United thought they had the game won thanks to Jesse Lingard’s fantastic turn and strike. I can’t stand the kids celebration mind you
- Chelsea stay 13th while United stay 5th and are 6 points off cross city rivals Manchester City
