- A frustrating Lunchtime for The Gunners as they are held to a draw by Championship leaders Hull City
- Probably not the most exhilarating Cup tie you will see this Weekend in all fairness, although definitely the most frustrating if you were an Arsenal fan.
- Arsene Wenger unsurprisingly rung the changes what with Barcelona on the horizon next week
- 24 efforts on goal for Arsenal but they just couldn’t get past Eldin Jakupovic who was easily the Man of the Match
- Arsenal looked lively in the first quarter of an hour with Danny Welbeck having the best opportunity but he could only head the ball straight at Jakupovic from Theo Walcott’s cross
- Alex Bruce seemingly handled a shot after only 8 minutes. He made an unnatural movement with his body which charged down the goalbound shout. Luckily for Hull it wasn’t spotted by Referee Mike Dean.
- The best chance was Joel Campbell’s low free kick which was well saved by Jakupovic as he tipped the ball onto the post. The Swiss Goalkeeper seemed well pleased with his effort as he looked up at the big screen replay
- Hull offered very little in attack but their Defence was particularly solid so credit must go to the resolute back line as they dug in to take the holders back to the KC Stadium
- In fairness it’s a result that neither side will want due to their respective schedules but for now Arsenal’s grip on the F.A. Cup is yet to be relinquished
- For them the focus now shifts to the massive Champions League tie against Barcelona on Tuesday and the small matter of the MSN to deal with.
- Petr Cech is going to have to have a game similar to what Jakupovic had today for Arsenal to have any chance of getting anything from the encounter
- For the neutral it’s going to hopefully an interesting watch, for Arsenal it might be time to hide behind the sofa for 90 Minutes
