- The BT Goals Show is by far the best Footballing show on TV at the moment, it’s made the group stages of the Champions League much more enjoyable this season.
- For all the worries that BT wouldn’t do a good a job as Sky when they snatched the rights, I’d argue they’ve done an ever better one.
- That said as for Football last night, blimey it doesn’t look like Barcelona are letting up at anytime soon
- They destroyed Roma at the Camp Nou and by the end it was like a Charity Match with Messi, Suarez and Neymar pulling off the most audacious tricks and flicks. If it was a Boxing Match they would have thrown in the towel a lot earlier.
- Bayern looked ruthless again, even with Holger Badstuber getting Sent Off for a professional foul. Them and Barcelona have to be the clear favourites right now to lift the title come May.
- Arsenal keep their Champions League hopes alive with a convincing win over Dinamo Zagreb, they have to beat Olympiakos by 2 clear goals on Matchday 6. It won’t be easy but it’s certainly not impossible. Failure to pull this off and Europa League purgatory awaits
- Chelsea are slowly starting to find their groove with an easy win in Israel. Willian scores another classy free kick (let’s hope he doesn’t do that on Sunday) while John Terry could be an injury doubt after coming off in the second half.
- Although Chelsea could still find themselves in the Europa League if Porto win at Stamford Bridge and Dynamo Kiev win against Maccabi Tel-Aviv in the final group game.
- Zenit looked comfortable in St Petersburg as AVB in his final season at the club manages to continue their 100% record
- Bayer Leverkusen struggles to master BATE (sniggers)
- While Gent continue to surprise everyone with a win in Lyon although they will count themselves a little lucky that they didn’t have their Goalkeeper sent off for handling outside the box.
