Has Zlatan moved one step closer to Manchester?

The most prominent transfer saga of the early Summer is most definitely that of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Ever since his contract expired at French Champions PSG, the Footballing world has been wondering where he will end up next

And it wouldn’t be Ibrahimovic would it if he hadn’t kept us all waiting. But there is one thing we do now know and that’s the revelation that the Swedish talisman won’t be making a return to his boyhood club Malmo. Well at least not in the immediate future anyway

After seemingly dismissing the mega money that was supposedly touted by an unnamed Chinese club to play there for 2 seasons it was then believed to be a straight toss up between Malmo and the red half of Manchester

Credit must go to Zlatan for not choosing the route of semi retirement in the Far East. Many would have made that decision and few could blame him but he has felt that he still has more than enough talent to be plying his trade in Europe

Not just Europe but a major European League and that would leave only two that Ibrahimovic has yet to play in. After such a huge trophy haul he is yet to play in either the Bundesliga or the Premier League and let’s be honest I can’t see a move to Bayern Munich on the cards this Summer.

It’s the desire and belief that he can still cut it at the very highest level which has seen him rule out a move to Malmo this Summer and this must now surely open the door to a move to Manchester and another linkup with new Manager Jose Mourinho

Zlatan has also gone on record by saying that the only Premier League club that he would be silly to P!ay for is Manchester United. This drawn out process of elimination can now only point to Old Trafford. He’s turned down the money, he’s also turned down the move back home now it surely has to be a case of when does he turn up at Old Trafford?
