West Ham and Stoke tie up key players with new contracts

Good news coming out of both West Ham and Stoke camps this morning as they have both announced the contract extensions of key players at the club.

West Ham have locked down Dimitri Payet with a new 5 and a half year contract, potentially keeping the 28 year old at the club until 2021.

While Stoke have announced the contract extension of Spanish Forward Bojan, the 25 year old ex Barcelona player has signed a 4 and a half year deal keeping him at The Britannia to the end of the 2020 season.

Both players have been linked with moves away due to the performances this season so the news that they have both put pen to paper for their respective sides will be a huge boost to both Slaven Bilic and Mark Hughes.

Also with the lengthy extensions to the contract if they were to leave their clubs then it would enhance the potential transfer fee that could be collected for either Payet or Bojan. But with neither Manager wanting to sell anytime soon it will be a massive boost for these two sides as look to bag a potential Europa League place at the end of the season.
