Watford could be without Sebastian Prodl on Saturday after he suffered a calf injury playing for Austria.
Midfielder Jose Manuel Jurado’s hamstring injury is unlikely to have cleared up in time to play.
Manchester United’s Michael Carrick is set to miss out after picking up an ankle injury on England duty.
Anthony Martial’s foot problem means he will miss out while Wayne Rooney is also out ill, while Chris Smalling and Marouane Fellaini will also face fitness tests.
Editor’s Note: So the International Break is done and dusted and finally the Premier League returns. The action starts at Vicarage Road where Manchester United will look to extend the run of not conceding to 5 matches. To do that they are going to have to keep Odion Ighalo at bay. The Nigerian has settled into the Premier League with apparent ease and as Watford’s top scorer the will be pinning their hopes on him to breach United’s net for the first time since October 4th.
Before the break Watford lost at Leicester and had their calamity Goalkeeper Huerelho Gomes to blame after his dreadful performance in between the sticks,. Tomorrow he is going to have his work cut out again but for all of Manchester United’s defensive prowess they have been slightly struggling at the other end, it was a routine win at Old Trafford pre-break against West Brom for United but with Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney out injured it does bode the question as to where the goals are going to come from?
I still think United will have enough in them to win but it’s going to take an effort from the supporting midfield ranks. If they can keep another clean sheet then they’ll go half way to winning away at Vicarage Road. Don’t expect many goals tomorrow though.
