Stoke captain Ryan Shawcross will be available after serving his one-match ban in midweek in the Capital One Cup.
Peter Crouch is likely to miss out with a hamstring injury, but Mame Diouf should be available after missing Tuesday’s match for family reasons.
Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is hopeful Sergio Aguero and Joe Hart will be fit for Saturday.
David Silva could make his first league start since the beginning of October after returning from injury on Tuesday.
Editor’s Note: Both sides are fresh off of easy Midweek League Cup wins but had varying results last Saturday in the League. Stoke went down to Sunderland at The Stadium Of Light last weekend in a game which was turned by Ryan Shawcross’ 2nd half sending off, they will welcome him back tomorrow for the visit of a Manchester City side that went back to the top of the league after beating Southampton.
Stoke sit in 12th position and have lost 2 out of their last 5 but as we all know The Britannia Stadium isn’t the easiest place to go to and Mark Hughes would no doubt love to get one over his former employers tomorrow Lunchtime.
Manchester City looked comfortable on Tuesday as they breezed past Hull and with David Silva now returning to fitness they will look to kick on and create a gap at the top of the League especially with Arsenal’s mounting injuries and United’s stuttering attack. Sergio Aguero went off after 65 minutes against Southampton as what was classed as a precautionary measure and Manuel Pellegrini will be sweating on whether their talisman will be fit to start.
I think City will have enough to overcome Stoke tomorrow but can see both teams getting on the scoresheet. I reckon it will be all 3 points for the blue half of Manchester and putting down a marker for their title rivals.
