We’ve reached the halfway stage and that means by the end of article someone is suffering the embarrassment of mid season relegation. That will follow very shortly but as per usual let’s start of the top of the table as the race for Real Football Men FPL title continues.
And it’s a race that continues to be lead by my good friend Andy Miller, he is the first man to break the 1000 point barrier this season and now has a healthy 23 point lead over Ologo Popo who has moved up to second place. Hot on Ologo’s tail is last season’s winner David McDonagh who is just 2 points behind in third while Ray McDermott drops to 4th albeit on the same points as David.
It wasn’t a good week for Andrew Sinclair as he drops to 5th place but the same can’t be said for Josh Abayateye who top scored this week with 69 points and moves up to 6th. The top 10 is rounded out by Kwame Twumasi, Dennis Kioko, M Fariz Narwinsyah and Malaysio Junior.
My fortunes have improved very slightly as I move up to joint 15th with Gary Mantle while there’s also been improvement for @THEWWFPL (give him a follow on Twitter) as he finds himself in the heady heights of 21st. It was a week to forget for Bruno B as he scored a week low of just 21.
But it’s a half season to forget for Simon Vingil as he suffers the misfortune of being the first man to ever suffer relegation from the Real Football Men FPL competition and he fails to beat the drop by just two points. Simon’s 49 points may well have been enough but Lasse Ehrer scored 45 points of his own to just get him over the line and beat the dreaded drop. So goodbye to Simon, thanks for entering and you are welcome back next season. The Week 20 review will follow on Thursday, until then.
Highest Score – Josh Abayaeye 69
