Premier League Predictions – Week 28 (Review)

Not a lot to work with in regards to Premier League predictions over the weekend with only 4 matches taking place across the two days, that said it does not make the picks any less important so with that in mind let’s see how I fared.

Saturday

Bournemouth vs West Ham – Draw NO

Everton vs West Brom – Everton Win YES

Hull vs Swansea – Swansea Win NO

Sunday

Liverpool vs Burnley – Liverpool Win YES

So a bang average 2 out of 4. Not bad but to be honest could have done with the clean sweep to bump the strike rate up. Which brings us nicely on to the maths part I’m now on 144 out of 273, which is 52.7% correct. The aim of getting more than 50% correct in a season is beginning to look slightly treacherous. Let’s hope next weeks sees somewhat of a return to form, the next sets of picks will be back on Thursday.

Since there was so few matches over the weekend, I also threw in my bonus F.A. Cup Quarter Final picks (remember this do not count towards the score)

Saturday

Middlesbrough vs Manchester City – Manchester City Win YES

Arsenal vs Lincoln City – Arsenal Win YES

Sunday

Tottenham vs Millwall – Tottenham Win YES

Monday

Chelsea vs Manchester United – Chelsea Win YES

Well what do you know an absolute clean sweep of predictions – quite ironic that it does not count towards my score but in fairness they were hardly the hardest of picks were they. As soon as Zlatan Ibrahimovic was out suspended for Manchester United you got the feeling that it would be too big an ask to beat Antonio Conte’s Chelsea, which brings us nicely onto the F.A. Cup Semi Final Draw

Manchester City vs Arsenal

Tottenham vs Chelsea

The North London Derby Final is very much alive, although you do get the feeling that both sides will go into their Semi Final’s as underdogs. They should be two cracking semi finals though.
