Well that was a very merry Christmas in terms of Premier League predictions. I had a feeling I had done well and had the almost nervy feeling during the Tottenham victory that I may have got my first ever clean sweep. But a couple of Monday error’s let me down, but that said let’s see how I fared over the past three days.
Monday
Watford vs Crystal Palace – Watford Win NO
Arsenal vs West Brom – Arsenal Win YES
Burnley vs Middlesbrough – Burnley Win YES
Chelsea vs Bournemouth – Chelsea Win YES
Leicester vs Everton – Draw NO
Manchester United vs Sunderland – Manchester United Win YES
Swansea vs West Ham – West Ham Win YES
Hull vs Manchester City – Manchester City Win YES
Tuesday
Liverpool vs Stoke – Liverpool Win YES
Wednesday
Southampton vs Tottenham – Tottenham Win YES
8 out of 10 with only the games at Vicarage Road and The King Power letting me down. That is a season best as it goes and gives the season strike rate a very welcome boost. To be fair the picks weren’t very hard and there were no surprises with the Top 6 all winning but after some absolutely shocking weeks over the past months it’s could to see I’m not particularly inept at this tipping game.
I’m now on 94 current picks out of 180 fixtures giving me a percentage of 52.2%, so after slipping as low as 50% a couple of weeks ago the season tally is looking a bit more respectable. With the fixtures coming around thick and fast the Week 19 predictions will be up later today, so keep an eye out for those. Until then.
