Migration Complete and what it means for you

Thankfully I don’t think the migration of web hosts was too painful, I think I lost a couple of articles but they were only predictions so nothing that can’t be replaced or all that important.

It could have been a  lot worse I could have lost around 1,700 images or so – so you can imagine how nervy the changeover was over the last couple of days. I’ve been plucking up the courage just to hit the send button

But now that is all done, where does the blog go from here? – ultimately what it means is that there is a lot more freedom in terms of design and functionality. The blog in just under a year had almost outgrown it’s capabilities so I needed to make a blog move and move away from a wordpress.com hosted site to a wordpress.org hosted site

What it means for you is that nothing will change in terms of article frequency and quality but you may just see a few adds from time to time. Basically after all the effort I’ve put into the blog over the past year in which I’ve produced 1,700 articles I need the blog to do some more work for me.

I’m not going to be making life changing sums of money – well not to start with anyway but it would be nice to start creating some constant revenue from the site. I hope you understand why I have made the change and appreciate the hard work and time spent and continue to keep visiting the site.

You are not obliged to click the ads at any point and the last thing I want to do is drive people away but I just need you to understand as to why the change has been made. We’re nearly 1 year into the project and I hope there are many more to follow

Thanks for your continued support as if it wasn’t for that then I wouldn’t be in the position to make the change in the first place.

Happy reading

Dan
